Welcome to City Sanctuaries. We are a company dedicated to sustainable landscape design. With each project we carefully consider energy-use from all angles with an emphasis on value for the client and harmony with the environment. Our goal is to create functional and beautiful spaces with a greater consciousness.
The garden featured above was created from an empty lot (see before and after shots below). The garden is now a truly enchanted and magical place. A 13' water fountain slowly trickles to conserve power and also provides bird baths, a turtle sanctuary, and a koi pond. The meandering patio is made from recycled concrete pieces. There is a live grass bench immersed in an herb garden, and a custom built daybed that provides a spot to rest your feet.

Principal designer Brandon Rud.
Brandon holds a degree in Design from The California Institute of the Arts, and a degree in Restaurant Management from TRS in Philadelphia PA. He is absolutely passionate about 'sculpting with life,' using plants as a living medium to realize spaces that balance beauty with funtionality, and humanity with nature. Brandon is inspired by the desires of his clients and takes time to really listen and allow for the most beautiful ideas to rise to the top.
